Mister + Miss

Mister + Miss is the joint venture of Dennis Chronis and Christina Panettieri. The pair met at Dennis’s last business, Sugo Restaurant in Malvern (since sold), where Panettieri was the manager.

Chefs Jim Karagiorgos and Khan Pok run an extensive menu and offer generous servings. Along with plenty of salads, there are all-day breakfast items such as pancakes piled high with fresh fruit and mascarpone, and potato hash drizzled with truffle oil.

The former mechanic’s workshop was turned into a luxe yet practical space in early 2016 with help from architect Maria Danos. The hoists and grease pit were replaced by warm mountain-ash fittings and a variety of tables accented with Jaguar green – a subtle nod to the building’s history.

The bar’s walls are clad with rounded, emerald-green tiles, mimicking the shape of hubcaps. The lights are hidden by rolled, perforated metal fittings, another nod to the perforated leather of the aforementioned car.

Behind the bar you’ll find baristas making endless cups of Axil coffee.
