Harvest Halls Gap
Carly and Richard Flecknoe of Harvest Halls Gap want you know how your food got onto your plate. That’s why the couple’s cafe and provedore stocks produce sourced as close to the Grampians region as possible.
There’s wine from Best’s Wines, ham from Greenvale, olive oil from Red Rock and Three Troupers craft beer. All can be ordered off the menu or purchased from the provedore’s well-stocked shelves.
The breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are all light and simple. For breakfast, coffee from Streat complements green eggs and Greenvale ham; a croque monsieur; or ricotta pancakes.
For lunch, there’s smashed avocado on toast or a BLAT sandwich. For dinner, slow-cooked lamb, roasted zucchini pasta or a Moroccan chicken tagine.
In the morning sun streams through large glass windows into the dining room. The front porch has sweeping views of the rugged mountains beyond. The back porch looks onto the couple’s pet pig, Frankie, roaming about in his pen.
