Features
When the city feels a little too crowded, some of us find ourselves dreaming of a little acreage in the country, a place to call our own. Fifty Acres isn’t quite a country getaway, but its sleek design (a fusion of French pastoral and Melbourne industrial) is certainly the breath of fresh air you've been looking for. It's the perfect place for a pre-game breakfast or post-shopping lunch.
The menu changes regularly, but maintains the classics and owners’ favourites, such as the house-cured New Zealand king salmon on dark rye. The house coffee blend is supplied by Dukes Coffee Roasters with guest roasters rotating weekly, while teas are supplied by Storm in a Teacup.
The elegant fit-out is owed to graphic designer Sue Palmer from Liquid Creativity and interior designers Georgia Nowak and Dhiren Das from Tone and Co.
