The name says it all. Everyday Coffee is a cafe committed to serving consistently outstanding coffee, every day. The first iteration opened in 2013, cherry-picking beans from Melbourne’s top roasters and presenting them on a rotating roster.

The team’s expertise has grown substantially over the years. At this much larger warehouse site, opened in 2019, it now roasts its own beans for espresso and filter coffee, and it’s one of the best at it. Every coffee is served with a glass of sparkling water to refresh your palate between sips.

The menu is full service and refreshingly concise compared to many cafes in Melbourne. You can get your standard eggs on toast or a smashed avo bagel, but also grilled banana and peanut butter on fluffy shokupan bread or a burger with waffle fries.

Behind this operation are Aaron Maxwell and Mark Free, two men with extensive experience working at some of the city’s top roasters and cafes. Free is also a DJ, party organiser and co-owner of nearby Skydiver Records. When you drop into Everyday or its younger sibling in the CBD, expect to hear local DJs and artists on the impressive soundsystems. Everyday also pops up regularly at music festivals and other gigs.
