Echuca Coffee Roasters
Echuca Coffee Roasters is an espresso bar and roastery on High Street. Owner Anne McLean also runs St Anne’s Winery, Echuca Farmhouse Cheese and Echuca Chocolate Company.
The cafe opened in 2012 and roasts its own beans in-house on a Diedrich three-kilogram roaster. This small-batch production ensures the beans are always fresh. That’s important – the roastery supplies other cafes in the area too.
The two-room space is kitted out with recycled wooden tables and chairs, and reused coffee sacks line the bar. Brazilian, Papua New Guinean and Ethiopian beans make up the cafe’s Confluence house blend. The team also roasts single origins from Guatemala, Ethiopia, Sumatra, Papua New Guinea, Brazil and Colombia, as well as a Mexican organic decaf coffee.
There are a couple of sweet treats in the cabinet to pair with your morning coffee, and you can sample the company’s coffee-infused liqueurs and chocolates. The roastery also collaborated with Echuca’s Bandicoot Brewing to brew a coffee porter that delivers smooth coffee and chocolate notes.
