All Are Welcome is one of Melbourne’s most popular bakeries, serving up organic sourdough loaves, a rotating selection of classic and lesser-known pastries and Everyday Coffee. Since opening in Northcote in 2017, owner Boris Portnoy has added pastry havens in Thornbury and Ivanhoe East.

Its Ivanhoe East spot is ideal for either a sourdough pit stop, or settling in with a perfect pastry and coffee at either side of the curly stainless-steel countertop. On that same countertop, there might be an assortment of sweet pastries such as buttery croissants, a fluffy jasmine and cardamom kouign-amann and a raspberry lemon polenta slice with sherbert topping. There are also non-sweet options, such as sandwiches, savoury tartines and tarts, as well as house-made jams, chutneys and pickles. Plus, bags of Everyday Coffee to take home with you.

The north-east spot has warm timber floors and a halo-shaped light that – true to the name – welcomes in anyone and everyone.
