63 Degrees Highton
63 Degrees was an early starter in Geelong’s now-blossoming hospitality scene. These days the cafe is something of a local icon. Married duo Carly and Simon Bryant opened the eatery in 2006, then followed up with the Pakington Street version in 2007. Both constantly bustle with regulars.
This location has a more rustic, vintage feel than its younger counterpart. Otherwise, the two cafes share a healthy, colourful and photogenic approach to food. The menu changes seasonally, but there are a few mainstays there will always be some variation of, such as the crispy-chicken wrap, an avo smash and some kind of burger.
Coffee is from Clark St Coffee Roasters in Melbourne. Those looking for something a little different might want to try the Martini-style shaken iced latte, or an indulgent roasted-marshmallow hot chocolate.
