Features
Just a minute's walk from Wattle Park you'll find The Fooddrinkery, a quaint little cafe owned by Paul Alvanos and his mother Tina Alvanos, who took over from the existing owners in 2013.
Mothers (post school drop-off) and recovering runners alike sip coffee from Toby's Estate and eat freshly made salads, toasties or the delicious On The Move coconut tapioca with kiwi and mango, served in a cup. Little ones aren’t forgotten either – fruit icy pops are sure to keep them happy.
The atmosphere is super-friendly, relaxing and welcoming, while the decor is rustic, with raw timber and different shades of green.
Centrepieces include the old ladder, which hangs from the ceiling with exposed light globes intertwined, and the large communal table adorned with wooden buckets that are planted with mint. Coffee cups hang above the machine and the inviting outdoor tables fill up fast.
The name may be a little odd, but the genuine warmth and good food and drink...ery are not.
