Features

Hope Street Space is a shop of curios, located in a nondescript warehouse on the corner of Hope and Frederick streets.

The store houses an eccentric variety of old and new items that owner Sandy Carr has personally collected from op shops, markets, swap meets and local artisans. Here you can find gifts for loved ones, bric-a-brac to fill your home with, and items to continue (or start) a fun collection.

There are functional goods such as homewares, potted plants, soaps, incense, and perfumes as well as an extensive array of vintage items. Some fun finds include hammers made locally in Brunswick, matchbooks from the 1970s, old Maggi soup thermoses, and vintage rolls of toilet paper.

Unlike the sense of chaos you may feel when walking into a local op shop, Hope Street is fastidiously organised despite every corner and shelf being packed. Every category of goods has its own section, and Sandy is always nearby to lend a helping hand.
