Foxtrot Charlie

7:30am - 4:00pm
359 Sydney Road Brunswick 3056

There’s a sleek, soaring jetliner suspended above Foxtrot Charlie's large communal dining area and roasting corner, which is busy charring beans every single day.

The vessel is only a small feature of the immaculately designed interior and one of many playful references to the cafe's military theme. The name itself stands for food (Foxtrot) and coffee (Charlie), using the NATO alphabet.

The breakfast and lunch menus are based on a few seasonal items, with a twist in flavour combinations and presentation. Poached eggs is more likely to be served with a spicy kasoundi and quinoa than in a typical eggs benedict or big breakfast style.

If you’re hungry for something different, you can also try the pan-fried organic sourdough with sesame-seed smoked cod for breakfast, and poached chicken on a miso aioli and Japanese-style salad for lunch.

The venue is wheelchair accessible, as well as pram- and family-friendly. Recognising Brunswick's health-conscious attitude, Foxtrot Charlie also caters to vegans, coeliacs, the lactose-intolerant and to those who simply prefer biodynamic, organic produce.
