Fancy Hank's is set to get fancier. Co-owners and hospo veterans Kent Bell and Mike Patrick are working after-hours to open the late-night New York-inspired tavern, right next to Fancy Hank's in the former Grand Trailer Park Taverna space, by winter 2024.

The late-night bar, which will have room for 200 punters, will be a laidback spot where knock-off, pre-game or pre-theatre drinks might lead into diner-inspired meals of crab cake sandwiches, steak tartare with a hotdog twist, or upscale chicken nuggets with caviar and crème fraîche. You'll also find a solid drinks offering and a license until 3am.

The development also includes the expansion of CBD rooftop bar Good Heavens. The buzzing bar, which will have room for 580 people, is set to become the biggest rooftop in Melbourne's CBD. It's still operating, with the expansion set to open by June 2023.

Ewert Leaf (also behind Lune Croissanterie Armadale and Moonhouse) will lead the design across both venues, and Good Heavens will have a healthy dose of ‘70’s influence. Expect a central fireplace, with tones of terracotta and blue throughout.
