Seamstress Cocktail Bar is a complete contrast to its downstairs counterpart, SweatShop. The layout is intimate, designed for couples and small groups. The whole space mirrors the theme of the building – once involved with textile manufacturing – with Cheongsam silk dresses hanging from the roof, helping to add to the intimacy.

The seated table service is maintained even during the busiest periods and everyone, from the bartenders to the floor staff, appears to have detailed knowledge of the cocktail list and the extensive bar selection.

The cocktail list itself is very mature with a strong focus on proven old and modern classics with some clever re-interpretations. The Penicillin by Sam Ross of Milk & Honey, New York makes a popular appearance, as does our favourite summer drink The Pimms Rangoon.

It’s the little things here that make a difference. Whether it’s the dedication to fresh ingredients or the hand carved ice for your straight spirits, it's evident that this is a serious cocktail bar, which is just how it should be.
