Pendant Public Bar is set to take over the now-shuttered site of Brunswick Street wine bar Enoteca Zingara, Alta Trattoria's sibling venue which closed its doors in February 2025.
At Pendant, owners Belinda Linton and Luke Kelly – who have more than 15 years of industry experience between them, having worked at Apollo Inn, Black Pearl, The Everleigh, Napier Quarter, Mr West, Congress and more – hope to bring back the charm of this loved Fitzroy spot. Drawing inspiration from Irish pubs and New Orleans cocktail bars, the bar echoes the look and feel of an old-school pub with green subway tiles, a red brick interior and pressed metal ceilings.
To begin with, the team will only be serving drinks – including cocktails, beers and wines – with the potential of expanding to a snack menu later down the track.
Penchant Public Bar is set to open at 334 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy in early May, 2025
