Music reigns supreme at this iconic establishment hidden off Flinders Lane (in ACDC Lane) in true Melbourne bar style. Every night you can expect to hear samples from rock’s repertoire: from contemporary rock to retro and Brit-Pop with some techno thrown in as a garnish. There are regular DJs and a weekly timetable so check to see which night suits your musical interests.

One of the big attractions of Cherry Bar (apart from free entry or cheap entry most nights) is the laid back vibe that permeates the stripped down, "this is about the music" space. Decor is a no-frills black and seating is in hot demand – but at Cherry you should really be on your feet. Most nights, the space is full with a sartorially mixed crowd, so you can’t help but feel at ease. Jeans and a t-shirt are all you need.

The bar is neatly tucked into the corner for those seeking refreshment and respite from the dance floor. It offers mostly beers (both international and local) as well as basic spirits. Cherry is a great place for shameless dancing well into the early hours of the morning.
