Shedshaker Brewing is run by Jacqueline Brodie-Hanns (who has an events and hospitality background), Michael Wolfe (a painter and graphic designer) and Doug Falconer of Hunters and Collectors fame (who is also a doctor and can be found rolling pizza dough out the back).
They opened The Taproom in April 2016 to showcase their large range of hoppy brews, alongside wines from Harcourt Valley, Bress and Boomtown and The Ginger Kid ginger beer. A Rye IPA, pale ale and espresso lager (made with Das Kaffeehaus coffee) feature among the bar’s 10 taps, which you can sample on a tasting paddle, as a pint, or fill a squealer or growler for home.
