Cantina is a flexible word. It can describe a bar room, salon, wine shop, canteen, cellar, diner or take away joint. Since the Melbourne Pub Group’s (Circa, The Prince) Mexican offering embodies all these things, the title is perfectly fitting.

Diners can expect a focus on organic, healthy ingredients in familiar favourites such as tacos and quesadillas. Unusual and less calorie friendly additions include Mexico’s answer to fondue, quesofFundido, and an indulgent salted-caramel ice-cream churros for dessert.

The bar stocks dozens of beers, tequilas and whiskies, and an extensive list of rum and wine. There's classic cocktails and a range of playful Margaritas, try the strawberry and basil with cracked black pepper for something different.
