Last night we announced the winners of the Stolen Moments photography competition at a soiree at Captains of Industry. After narrowing down the top 15 from over a thousand entries of lomo inspired images sent in from all over the world over the last couple of months, the panel of judges selected the winners. This panel included Michaela Webb (Studio Round), Rebecca Wolkenstein (SoHi Magazine), Karen Boudakian (Lomography Australia) and our very own Broadsheet publisher Nick Shelton.
Congratulations to Emma Relph from Melbourne who was the winner of the competition with her Flinders Street Running Man image that she shot quickly after jumping off a tram one morning. This image is the centre spread of our spring issue, which is hitting the streets today. Second prize went to Alena Zhajandarvo from Russian with her shot Vasya. Third prize was given to 16 year old Arta Ajeti from the UK with her shot Aida.
We ran this competition in collaboration with the NGV Shop and it has been a huge success, so many thanks to the NGV for their support. It was a great night, so thank you all for those who came down.
The Stolen Moments Exhibition of the top 15 finalists will be up on the walls at Captains of Industry until September 18.
