St Kilda Festival is one week in the year when St Kilda really shines. The community pulls together and the full force of the old suburb’s personality is revealed. This weekend was no exception.

A crowd, as colourful and eclectic ever, roamed from Acland to Fitzroy Street with plates of poffertjes and curly fries. Street performers drew supportive crowds, from balconies people waved to strangers and called out to friends as some of Melbourne’s favourite musical acts took to the stage and performed in front of the foreshore. Parties continued on rooftops as the sun set over the bay between silhouettes of palm trees, and St Kilda reminded us all that she’s still got it.

Check out the galley by our photographer Shannon Boh who was on the ground capturing it all.
