The Other Art Fair is back in 2025 after a two-year hiatus, with an immense, eclectic display of work from more than 100 emerging and independent creatives. It’s run by Saatchi, an online retailer whose ethos is to provide access to affordable art, which means you can nab pieces from just $100, with many under $2000. We’re offering Access members free VIP passes to opening night for first dibs. Here's what we've got our eyes on.

Bang by Kasia Frankowicz
Bang by Kasia Frankowicz
This acrylic piece is inspired by the “all-American woman”. Its bold, unapologetic aesthetic is a signature style for the Melbourne-based artist, who playfully merges street culture with pop culture. Her work is a little rebellious, and a lot fun. Cool-girl status guaranteed upon purchase.

Doppio Movimento by Kate J Baker
Doppio Movimento by Kate J Baker
This silver gelatin photograph (shot with 35-millimetre film) explores the poetry of movement in collaboration with the dancer Venettia Miller. Baker, who has exhibited in Australia and Berlin, handcrafted the print in her home darkroom. This piece is nothing short of ethereal.

The Only Way Out Is Through by Zoe Dejesus
The Only Way Out Is Through by Zoe Dejesus
An abstract oil on canvas, which draws on themes of longing and connection. Dejesus is a Puerto Rican American artist, curator and filmmaker based in Melbourne. This one reminds us of Marina Abramovic’s iconic performance art.

Deluge by Shane Bonsujet
Deluge by Shane Bonsujet
It’s described as an abstract piece “expressing energy and movement with mark-making”. Bound to light up any space in your home, and puzzle all guests who pause to ogle.

A Mystery to Me by Kate Slowey
A Mystery to Me by Kate Slowey
Slowey’s cubist style is distinct – it’s Picasso-esque, at once fragmented and fluid – and it’s been celebrated internationally. This acrylic work is part of a series of wacky self-portraits.

Pomkin by Jem Sharwood
Pomkin by Jem Sharwood
What food-lover doesn’t gravitate towards a still life? This textural oil on canvas is making us hungry. Sharwood (“cursed to paint every piece of fruit I eat”) has an interest in love languages, and how food connects us.

Flying Beast by Donina Asera
Flying Beast by Donina Asera
This piece is part of Asera’s current collection, Myth Donina, which blends ancient mythology with an imagined land populated by strange creatures, gods and machines. The figurative work depicts a flying beast fertilising a flower.

The fair will take over Timber Yard in Port Melbourne and you’ll find a well-stocked bar, merch supporting the non-profit organisation Dangerous Females, live DJs, and stick-and-poke tattoos from local artists. Feeling impulsive? Get stamped by Kits Tattoo. We’ll do it if you do. Maybe. Probably not. But we’ll watch.
