Features
Ryder label is an easy-to-wear womenwear brand that draws on vintage Australiana. Sun-soaked beaches, the dense Australian bush, and native flora and fauna are all reference points for designer Penny Brown’s collections.
The focus is on offering customers a wide range of separates (all with Ryder’s vintage, preppy touch) to integrate into their existing wardrobe. Collections are never without a healthy dose of denim, cheeky references to all things Australia, and girlish floral prints that hark back to the ’70s.
Ryder began as a diffusion line of the now defunct Arabella Ramsay brand, where Brown worked as assistant designer. What was once Arabella Ramsay’s more affordable sister for basics and denim, became a fully fledged label in 2012.
The complete range now includes clothing, shoes and accessories. Armadale is the brand’s flagship store, where you can find it all.
