On a recent crisp spring evening in Brunswick East, a group of runners laced up in fresh kicks and set off on a five-kilometre run with a difference.

As part of the Nike+ Run Club (N+RC) experience, the group warmed up at Juanita Peaches before being led on a circuit around Princes Park at dusk. As they tried out the new Nike Zoom Fly running shoe, runners were kept on their toes with positive encouragement from N+RC coaches Kieran Ryan, Dave Ridley and N+RC pacer Elizabeth Campbell.

On finishing the circuit, the group was treated to a cool-down featuring All Day Donuts, Juanita Peaches and Taco Truck. Stretching after a run is important, and participants were encouraged to gently reach for the salsa with corn chips in hand. Other guilt-free treats included fried chicken, cheeseburgers, mini OG doughnuts, and beers from Temple Brewery and wine from Rockies Lemonade.
