When you follow the winding driveway to the parking at rear, the first thing you'll spot is a Tesla electric vehicle charger. And if you've been out bush for days, the comfortable king-sized, roomy bathroom (complete with spa and robes to lounge in), Netflix and fast wi-fi will feel utterly luxurious.

Downstairs, you can order coffee and cake (or a local wine) in the bar and enjoy these on the front terrace where there's original terrazzo paving underfoot and a cumquat tree above. Come morning, the team's country warmth is a pleasant wake-up and there's a banquet of breakfast items waiting.

After you've loaded up on delicious sourdough, make sure to take a walk along the Mitchell River nearby, where you can learn the history of the Gunaikurnai peoples.
