Echuca Boat Ramp Retreat is a two-storey, self-contained residence overlooking the Murray River just two-kilometres from the town centre. With three bedrooms upstairs, and a couple more downstairs, there’s ample space for large families or a whole swag of friends. There’s a full kitchen if you feel like a big home cook-up come breakfast, and a barbeque for evening entertaining.
A couple of cows live in the paddock out the back, and kookaburras will act as your wake-up call. The upstairs balcony wraps all the way around; the back ledge is a nice spot to sip your first cuppa of the day and watch the birds fly about during their morning routine.
Set opposite the Echuca East boat ramp, this residence has easy access to the Murray River for waterskiing, swimming and fishing. There is also bushwalking and birdwatching along the river’s various beaches.
If you head into town for dinner and a couple of wines of an evening, it’s only a 20-minute stroll back home.
