Abington Farm
This 200-acre dairy farm is home to a number of accommodation options, ranging from modern-built units to a converted barn.
Two newer units sit adjacent to Rainbow Creek, which skirts Abington Farm. At The River House, the deck is the perfect place to kick back with a cold one at sundown, with the sun putting on a technicolour show as it slinks behind the Great Dividing Range in the distance.
The River House is a one-bedroom unit with a queen-size bed and roomy bathroom (with a spa bath so sizeable it would fit more than one travel buddy). The Pump House is a studio-style residence with similar conveniences.
Each kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, kettle, toaster and bar fridge, so you can cook dinner as you’re provided breakfast. Morning care packages include a range of cereals and milk, along with bacon, eggs, bread, spreads and orange juice. The reverse-cycle air conditioning will keep you at an appropriate temperature in all seasons.
The converted barn is all stone floors and wooden trusses, and you can walk 500 metres down the creek to an opening to explore the waterway.
