Features
Bar Sala is a 100-seat restaurant from Nathan Toleman and The Mulberry Group. It’s split into two distinct spaces: a dining room and a dedicated music room. One is filled with white tablecloths and candlelight, the other with vinyl, low-slung armchairs and rugs sourced from Facebook Marketplace. The idea is to re-create the feeling of moving through someone’s home.
The menu is Mediterranean-leaning and centred on handmade pasta, woodfired cooking and share-style dishes. You might find burrata with braised greens and mandarin, or vitello tonnato with caperberries and horseradish. Larger plates are along the lines of pumpkin agnolotti with chilli and brown butter, or baked rigatoni with cheese and truffle.
The dimly lit music room hosts live DJ sets from Thursday to Saturday. Diners are encouraged to retire here after a meal, grab a cocktail or a glass of wine, and sink into a chair while vinyl plays on the speakers.
