The view across Gnarabup Bay to the world-class surf breaks beyond is breathtaking, but it isn’t the only attraction in the immediate area.

Just back from the beach, White Elephant offers breakfast, lunch and uninterrupted views from the alfresco deck. The menu is equal parts healthy and hearty, making this the ideal spot to satisfy that post-surf or swim hunger.

During the cooler months, head inside where the bi-fold glass doors let the views in but keep the cold out. Snuggle on a sofa beside the roaring fire while enjoying a full meal, coffee and cake, or a raw protein ball if that’s your thing.

Menu staples include an all-day brekkie burger with bacon, egg, cheese, ketchup and aioli in a brioche bun; and the house-made raw Bircher muesli with chia, coconut and local honey. We like the smashed pumpkin with poached egg, feta, avocado, and spiced pepitas; and for lunch it’s hard to go past the grilled Augusta whiting with chat potatoes, witlof, green-bean puree and fennel.

Unsurprisingly, White Elephant is a popular wedding venue. Nuptials happen on the beach, then the reception is in the dressed-up cafe afterwards.
