Dana Eating House is all about sharing, from the pan-Asian share plates on your table to the cut of your bill that goes to local charities. The lively diner is intent on doing its bit beyond your meal.

But first, to the food. The inventive and satisfying dishes here – from slow-cooked curries to bright and refreshing salads – make settling in for a long lunch or dinner easy. Kingfish sashimi might come topped with coriander gremolata, lotus root crumbs and cured egg yolk. While wallaby dumplings come with punchy Sichuan sauce. Look out for crying tiger marinated steak with green papaya salad, too.

The cocktail list is equally impressive. The Vietspresso Martini perks up with syrupy condensed milk and toasted coconut, while the tequila-based Bolt Ons gains an extra kick from lime and jalapeno pickle juice. Also, expect beers by Spotty Dog Brewers and Dangerous Ales, along with plenty of wines from the region.

If you’re after more of that local wine, there’s an underground cellar for private functions where you can dine surrounded by a few hundred bottles of it. Don’t forget to check the bill at the end – you’ll see which local not-for-profits your meal helped to support.
