Christmas is only a few sleeps away – but if you don’t have your shopping list sorted yet, don’t panic. Our annual gift guide has something for everyone, at different price points, whether you want to thank a party host with Don Julio tequila or say “I can’t believe we made it to the end of the year” to your work bestie.
And if you can’t decide, perhaps you won’t have to: we’re offering one lucky reader the chance to take home all the gifts in this guide, so you can feel like Santa and spoil everyone this Christmas. See below on how to enter.

The jetsetter in your life needs this right now. This capacious carry-on ($595) has the durable polycarbonate shell of a much more expensive piece of luggage and manoeuvrable German-engineered wheels to match. Suitably sized for most cabin allowances, it gives 42.5 litres of interior space – plenty for a short trip – and did we mention it comes with a lifetime guarantee?
At 50mL, each bottle is small enough to get through liquids screening at airport security but substantial enough to celebrate with once done with the bureaucracy. Perfect as a stocking stuffer or parting gift for your travelling friend, whether they’re a Blanco ($15.99) fan who enjoys their tequila neat or on the rocks, or a connoisseur who prefers the barrel-aged Reposado ($15.99).
So the traveller in your life already has their luggage sorted. But what about their accessories? The Hale & Earle passport wallet and luggage tag duo ($165) from this Melbourne-based leather goods label is crafted from Italian leather in 14 colourways, making it both practical and chic.
For those who are a little more casual about travel, there’s the Saarde Journey duffle bag ($159) in vintage-wash mustard and terracotta colourways. Made of cotton canvas, the bag has a relaxed shape that’s perfect for carefree stuffing and a wide shoulder sling strap for easy hauling.
Sun protection is a must wherever you go, so you’ve always got to have quality sunscreen in the bag. Skating under liquid limits at 50mL, Melitta’s hybrid Glowguard ($55) is both an SPF50+ sunscreen and a lightweight formulation that keeps skin hydrated and primed for make-up. It’s fragrance-free, reef-safe and water resistant for up to four hours.
The practical traveller will never say no to a fresh set of packing cubes. July’s eight-pack ($95) offers two each of four different sizes – to fit everything from underwear to jumpers – in six colourways. They’re made of tough nylon with a mesh top for easy peeking.
Sure, the experienced traveller probably already has a grab bag of toiletries for the plane, but it’s a delight to be gifted a beautiful kit. The Australian-made Lovebyt travel essentials set ($59) contains a 100-gram tube of peppermint botanical toothpaste, a 50mL bottle of peppermint botanical mouthwash and a sustainable bamboo toothbrush in a limited-edition mesh travel bag that makes maintaining oral hygiene while travelling a breeze.
Even seasoned travellers need a bit of inspiration sometimes. Travels ($55) is a guide to 60 places in Australia we think you ought to visit, from bucket-list destinations like Uluru to remote beaches you’ve never heard of. The stunning design might suggest a coffee table book, but it’s also filled with practical insights from local writers and travel specialists to help with planning your next trip.

Start any party with the Don Julio gift pack ($98), containing a 700mL bottle of Don Julio Blanco Tequila and a cocktail shaker. Blanco is Don Julio’s most versatile tequila – clean and crisp on the palate, it’s smooth for sipping neat or on the rocks, while also the perfect base for a Margarita.
Evoking Italian summers and abundant tables, this set of four cups ($240) is a joyful gift for a feast-loving friend. Handmade and handpainted in Puglia, each cup comes in a different colour that evokes Italian summers – fill them with spritzes, juice, chilled wine and more.
For the home cook who seems to have everything, the Ironclad Legacy pan ($350) might be one of those elusive wishlist items that you can gift for the benefit of dinner parties to come. Designed to last for generations, the 28-centimetre cast-iron pan is triple-seasoned by hand and offers versatility on any heat source, from induction to campfire.
Fashion label E Nolan may be better known for its shirts, but this cute I Love Lunch tee ($130) is for fans of the midday meal. Embroidered in Melbourne and made from 100 per cent Oeko-Tex-certified cotton, the boxy T-shirt has a fresh look with a vintage feel.
Maison Balzac’s signature Palamos Gobelets ($119 a pair) receive the Tanora treatment, with handwoven natural raffia enrobing the borosilicate glasses to create both a functional sleeve and an artisanal touch. A beautiful way to say “cheers” to your favourite party host.
Queen of condiments Rosheen Kaul has released her second cookbook, and this one is suitable for anyone who loves a flavour bomb. Secret Sauce ($39.99) contains dozens of recipes for delectable dressings, sassy sambals and zesty sauces, and the dishes to pair them with.
If your host is less adept at sauces, maybe bringing a bottle of something special will fill the gap. Mabu Mabu has a range of sauces ($14.50 per bottle), from classic tomato and a green tomato hot sauce to a sriracha and the tropically tuned pineapple hot sauce. There’s even an island marinade based on flavours used in Torres Strait Islander cuisine.
Native flavours combine in this piquant seasoning by Kakadu Plum Co. The salt rub with pepperberry ($15.50) uses salt particles to bring out the essence of any food, with added spicy notes from Tasmanian pepperberry. Bush dukkah ($16.95) – containing macadamia, sesame seeds, lemon myrtle, wattleseed, pepperberries, mountain pepper, Kakadu plum and salt – is also a good companion condiment.

That one-of-a-kind person in your life deserves a one-of-a-kind gift, and for that there’s the Curio Life in Stripes cushion ($260). Curio’s small-scale production means each item is knitted from Australian yarn in limited quantities, making each design rare and purposeful. Available in six striped colourways, including orange’n’berry, and cornflower spicy choc.
Gifting heart-shaped jewellery can feel a bit twee, but Aletheia & Phos has the perfect solution: a silver and gold ring with two anatomical hearts ($489) to represent a couple in love.
For the connoisseur, there’s Don Julio’s Reposado Tequila ($126.99 or a 700mL bottle), aged for eight months in American white-oak barrels for a mellow flavour that’s rich and smooth on the palate. Made in Mexico from 100 per cent Blue Weber Agave, it's a great drop on the rocks, or the perfect base for a tequila cocktail.
Victorian artist Emanuelle McGlade creates strikingly geometric artworks (from $340) using a range of media including pastel on paper, and acrylic and oil on board. Her latest series shows a spectrum of colours and patterns, and is bound to find a home with your stylish friend.
Made of responsibly recycled nylon paracord, this Duo Racket Tote from a collaboration with Thai brand Muunsan adds a pop of colour to any outfit. It’s a classy present with functional intent: it fits all the essentials, can be converted between a double-strapper purse or single-strapped shoulder bag, and makes for a chic accessory.
The heady scent of oudh is a classic fragrance from the woody leather family, and here in Flaner’s Oudh Nur ($189 for 50mL), the perfume gets a lift from bergamot, shisha and clove with middle notes of Egyptian jasmine, saffron and rose. An opulent scent for a pioneering spirit.
Jeweller Linden Cook has been creating pieces in her Melbourne studio for more than a decade, and this gender-neutral bracelet in sterling silver ($115) is testament to the fine craftsmanship of her handmade jewellery. Make sure you order ahead in time for Christmas.
With a fresh and floral top note of freesia and the clean and green heart of tulip accord, the Byredo Tulipmania hand wash and lotion set ($184) is one for the fragrance fans. The set contains two 450mL bottles, one each of handwash and lotion, presented in a gorgeous festive gift box.

Laptop sleeve or designer pouch? Made from Italian leather and handcrafted in A Esque’s Melbourne atelier, this slender zip sleeve ($600) has the minimalist aesthetic down pat. Available in four classic colours: black, dark brown, off-white and burgundy.
Named after the year Don Julio González began making tequila, the iconic 1942 Anejo Tequila ($305.99 for 750mL bottle) is made in small batches in Mexico from 100 per cent Blue Weber Agave and aged for a minimum of two and a half years. Make it even more special with a custom engraving – for proudly displaying in the bar cart or for a milestone celebration.
Glassblower Leisa Wharington creates handmade glass objects in her Mornington Peninsula studio. This asymmetrical decanter ($290) has an elegant, narrow neck for easy grip and effortless pouring. Use it as a carafe for water or wine, or it doubles as a sculptural vase.
Melbourne business Flack Studio brings together architects and designers to create stylish spaces, from vivid residences to bold commercial venues. Flack Studio: Interiors ($180) is a compendium of its notable projects, detailing the studio’s creative process and its journey from vision to execution.
Design is not just aesthetic, it’s also about the vibe of a place – and that includes scent. Gentle Habits’ The Second Wave Inner Den incense ($65) is a pensive fragrance that evokes a secluded atmosphere where conversations run quiet and deep. Expect notes of spiced amber, earthy nagarmotha and patchouli with citrus hints of elemi and lemon.
Ideal as a serum-like barrier against dryness and pretty enough to display on the nightstand, Raaie’s Tranquillity mist ($123 for 100mL) is a bioactive spray powered by New Zealand volcanic thermal water that lasts for 72 hours. Hydration has never been so luxurious.
Holiday nibbles have a stylish table setting with Corey Ashford’s linen cocktail napkins ($12 each). The European flax linen softens with use and the raw edge adds a casual flair to cocktail hour. Available in seven colours.
How can a spoon be a special design gift? Handmade in Sydney from 925 silver, this was recently exhibited at Done/Undone in Melbourne. Only seven of these tiny spoons ($220) are available to purchase from Craft Victoria.
