There’s nothing else in Brisbane quite like Casa Chow. From the team behind Sasso Italiano, this neon-pink diner pops with colour, light and music. The ceilings and entranceways curve ostentatiously, and there’s a DJ booth up behind the bar punching out Latin-American beats.

Matching the energy of the venue is a bold, snack-heavy menu dealing in chifa cuisine; a fusion of Chinese and Peruvian flavours that’s exploded in popularity in the United States in recent years. Think skewers, ceviche, dim sum, and larger wok and grill dishes.

A long bar sweeps across the central floor and signals Casa Chow’s intent as the kind of restaurant you’d want to have a few drinks at, too. Naturally, there’s an entire menu dedicated to Peru’s national cocktail, the Pisco Sour, along with flaming Scorpion Bowls to share, a rice lager on tap courtesy of Aether Brewing, and a wine list that includes bottles from Argentina and Chile.
