Demand for inexpensive, quality blank clothing has always been high. Problem is, ethical production can’t always be guaranteed.

There’s no such trouble with New Zealand label AS Colour. It offers affordable basics for both men and women that don’t weigh on your conscience.

The company hand-picks all its manufacturers. Each must exceed international labour practices, ensuring working conditions and materials are both safe and humane. Designs are shaped by customer feedback, and are available for wholesale.

The Boundary Street store is sleek and filled with light. Constantly updated racks of colourful tees, pants, jackets, caps and more run down its long white walls.

AS Colour also runs The Little Help Project, an annual T-shirt design competition and online store that gives local artists the opportunity to get their designs to print.
