Features
Cafe Disco is a design-savvy 40-seater in West End, blending Australian and Bangladeshi influences across a tight food and drink offering. The space pairs homely warmth with subtle retro flair – think houndstooth booths, gold lamps and a green-tiled bar.
Expect spiced kebab rolls with fixings like lamb kofta or chicken tikka; eggs scrambled with spring onion and green chilli gremolata served with a keema pau; and a slow-cooked minced meat dish with pickled fennel and yogurt raita. There’s also a hybrid naan-roti flatbread.
The drinks menu plays to both Australian and South Asian preferences. There are beans from Northgate’s Passport Coffee and a selection of premium teas from Singapore’s TWG. In the evening, go for new- and old-world wines, plus idiosyncratic cocktails like an anejo tequila number built with a spice-herb mixture and served with soda.
