Named after the building’s former tenant, LPO (which stands for Local Post Office) is a wine store licensed to sell wines by the glass. It’s owned by former Triple J radio host Matt Okine and longtime friend Dan Wilson, who ran wine bars in London.

There are always four whites and four reds available to taste and purchase by the bottle. Wilson frequently opens special bottles and sells glasses at cost, just so people can try something new.

You might find wines from Gazzetta in Lazio, Julien Courtois in the Loire Valley, and closer to home, Joshua Cooper from the Macedon Ranges.

LPO’s deep green-grey facade has the charm of a European wine shop. Inside, natural light streams over a central communal table, encouraging visitors to gather around for a glass.
