The Green Edge makes being vegan easy. Owners Niv and Deepa Galaiya are long-time vegans with a strong ethical stance on everyday things, from the food we eat, to cleaning products we use.

They’ve spearheaded vegan bake sales to raise money for animal shelters and they host a spray-free farmers market from 12pm–6pm every Tuesday.

At the Green Edge they’ve got everything you need to support ethical choices. The shelves are chock full of vegan products: pick up some tofurkey, vegan pies, or coconut yoghurt in the fridges at the back, or a pre-packaged pizza to throw in the freezer for lazy nights.

There’s also an array of organic, ethical chocolate and a variety of grain chips, fresh vegan doughnuts, croissants and pain au chocolat. Over in the cafe you’ll find a substantial drinks menu, which includes a maple syrup milkshake and plenty of specialty teas - find one you love and buy some from the grocery section to take home.

There are always specials on the chalkboard, but lots of people head straight for the popular vegan burgers.
