Ally and Brett Hutley don’t want to make anyone feel left out. So the chef and her husband shaped their entire menu around the idea of inclusion at their gourmet takeaway store, Botanica.

Its glass cabinet holds a selection of breakfast options until 9am on weekdays, including overnight oats, fresh fruit salads, chia pudding and breakfast crumble, before being swapped out for a rotating roster of salads.

Of the seven salads available on any given day, three or four will always be gluten-free, and all will be either vegetarian or vegan (but in the spirit of inclusion, all are dubbed “plant-based” rather than vegetarian). And they could even be picked up to serve at home alongside a juicy steak.

The cake display at the front of the shop is entirely gluten-free, but can be enjoyed by all comers – they’re emphatically not health cakes (no avocado masquerading as chocolate here). Truly, everyone is catered to here.
