Features
The Scratch Bar’s well-worn leather couches and mismatched furnishings are reminiscent of a university sharehouse – except with much better beer: six rotating beer taps with from local and international microbreweries.
You could be faced with a gluten-free pale ale, a barrel-aged stout or a Belgian-style sour. These can be matched with cheese platters favouring independent Australian cheese-makers – all in the shadow of the behemoth XXXX brewery.
The good family Scratch invite you to enjoy its hospitality by hosting frequent events such as Alementary series of beer education nights, or sourdough baking classes. Remember, it’s not polite to turn up to a friend’s place empty-handed.
The Scratch Bar encourages you to BYO food from neighbouring eateries; try the wood-fired pizza from Two Wheels & a Handlebar on Station Road.
