Milton Common is on the original site of Aether Brewing. Owner Jimmy Young split from Aether, which is now in Northgate, in 2019 to found Milton Common.
Community is just as important as beer here: Young hosts events such as art shows, macramé and painting classes. The space now has much more artwork and greenery, softening the industrial look.
As for the 3000 litres of brewing capacity, Young’s focus is on collaborating with different brewers from around the country. These collaboration beers are sold exclusively at Milton Common, alongside a number of brews from local and interstate breweries. And yes, you can still find Aether on-tap. In addition to beer, there are now more cocktails and spritzes on offer.
