Brisbane’s matcha fiends know the name: Lola’s Coffee Bar.
With two locations in Kelvin Grove and Tarragindi, Lola’s is the go-to for some of the city’s most inventive matcha drinks. Owner Marie David pays tribute to her Filipino heritage by blending Filipino flavours – ube, pandan and mango – with premium Japanese matcha. Tea is sourced from farms in Uji, one of Japan’s most renowned tea-growing regions.
The Filipino thread continues on Lola’s food menu, with savoury empanadas, siopao, pandesal, longganisa sausage rolls and ube leche flan.
