Ivory Tusk is a winsome Palm Springs-inspired bar with on-tap cocktails and a breezy Mexican-inspired menu. It’s in the space which used to be Woolly Mammoth, but it’s almost completely different. Gone are the dark and rustic finishes, they’ve been replaced with pastel hues, bright pops of colour and mid-century-inspired furniture.
The food menu and cocktail list have been written with sharing in mind. For food, expect lamb barbacoa with rocket, queso blanco and burnt orange, Baja fish tacos with red slaw and burnt chill mayo, and black-bean chilli with green-onion salsa and coconut sour cream. You can order a set menu for $35 per person, or $65 per person with three cocktails.
Cocktail examples include Miss Rose – Ketel One vodka, rosé, lychee liqueur and rose syrup – and Hola Chica Bonita, a giant frozen Margarita that’s meant to be shared. There’s also a sizeable line-up of quality tequilas and mezcals, and a broad selection of wine, beer and bubbles.
