Turns out you might be spending a fair bit of time in Redbank Plains later this month.

Krispy Kreme has announced the opening of its first Queensland drive-through store in the outer western suburb, and to celebrate its giving away a whopping 7,000 doughnuts over five days from December 20 to December 24.

The store will be part of a new development of retail food and services set to be completed early next year. The Krispy Kreme outlet will seat 60 and sell the company’s prized glazed doughnuts alongside espresso coffee, shakes and bagels.

Still, its point of difference is its drive-through facility, a clever feature for an outlet in the Ipswich-Springfield corridor, which has grown massively in recent years, sending more and more commuters into the city each day.

Krispy Kreme Redbank Plains opens on December 20. Head to Krispy Kreme’s Facebook page for more info on the doughnut giveaway.
