Turn off everything in the kitchen. Clean out your fridge. Hop in the passenger seat, sit back and relax. We’re offering you and three friends the chance to be chauffeured around town in a stylish new Honda HR-V, to enjoy dinner at some of the city’s best restaurants – every night for a week. That’s right, for seven consecutive days in September you’ll be wined, dined, picked up and taken home, all on Broadsheet and the Honda HR-V.

Here’s the plan.

Monday

The week starts at the Amalfi-inspired diner in the sky, Otto. An uninterrupted view of the Story Bridge is the backdrop for a menu that takes its cues from the warmth of the Mediterranean. Italian drops – or Italian grapes handled by Australian producers – make up the impressive wine list, sitting alongside cocktails spiked with citrus.

Tuesday

On Tuesday night the setting is Detour – a 140-seat heritage-listed former antique store. A large timber bench separates the dining room and the open kitchen, where diners can watch chef Damon Amos plate up dishes, including roasted gunpowder tea, “fossilised” carrots and black ants.

Wednesday

Tonight’s dinner is at E’cco Bistro, a refreshing take on fine dining. The French bistro-style menu focuses on the seasons and the highest quality ingredients.

Thursday

On Thursday there will be something special waiting for you at Esq, the simplified sibling of Ryan Squires’s Esquire, located next-door. It’s inspired by the smaller venues Squires experienced on a trip to Japan, and a succinct menu to match. Esq borrows its knockout wine list from next door, while cocktails and beers arrive from the in-house bar.

Friday

Tradition doesn’t go out of style at 1889 Enoteca. Here you’ll find an ethos that favours simplicity, seasonality and quality ingredients, as well as some standout imported Italian reds.

Saturday

Do Saturday night right at the brand new Happy Boy in Fortitude Valley. This iteration has the same playful take on Australian-Chinese food as its sister in Spring Hill and a rotating wine list.

Sunday

The week finishes at Longtime. Tucked down a shadowy laneway and bursting with spices and hanging succulents, the menu champions Thai flavours and matches them with crisp rieslings, rosés and its famous in-house cocktails to balance the heat.

Seven Dinners in Seven Nights will run from September 11 to 17. Don’t miss this one. Fill in the form below by September 4 for your chance to win.
