For the past few years Italian chain Fratelli Fresh and its fast-casual spin-off, Fratelli Famous, have been dominating the Sydney dining scene. This Friday, Famous will open its doors at Eagle Street Pier. To celebrate, the restaurant is giving away free pizza to the first 500 customers from midday.
Fratelli Famous is owned by the Rockpool Dining Group, which formed after the Urban Purveyor Group acquired Neil Perry’s Rockpool Group last month. This is the group's first new venture into Queensland.
The venue is based around “fast-fire” pizza, a concept that originated in the United States, which involves customising your own pizza and watching it cook in a 400-degree pizza oven for around 90 seconds. The 500-pizza giveaway provides the perfect opportunity to introduce Brisbane to this concept.
“It not only helps train our team by making 500 pizzas,” says Thomas Pash, Rockpool Dining Group’s CEO. “It gets people to come in and really see what fast-fire is all about.”
500 free pizzas will be available at Fratelli Famous, located on the ground floor of 45 Eagle Street, this Friday December 16, from midday onwards.
