The Sunnybank $2 Food Trail is returning next month.
From 2pm on Saturday July 14 more than 45 restaurants across Sunnybank Plaza and Sunny Park shopping centres will be flipping some of their signature dishes for just $2 a pop.
Never attended the trail? The concept is simple: each venue offers at least two mini dishes, priced at $2 a serve. You get a map, a menu and the rest is up to you.
The food trail has grown from humble beginnings in 2014 with just 6000 attendees to become one of the major events on the local foodie calendar, with people flocking to the southern suburb to sample Chinese, Japanese, Hong Kong, Vietnamese and Taiwanese cuisines, among many others. More than 22,000 people attended in 2017.
The 2018 line-up includes a bunch of outlets making their debut at the trail, such as Chongqing Street Food, Your Personal Chef, Juno Desserts, Orange Tea, Papa’s Pancakes, Zen Flavours and Sino Tea. This year there’s also a special vegetarian trail, featuring homemade spring rolls, shallot pancakes, fresh salads, fried rice, spicy chilli tofu and more.
The Sunnybank $2 Food Trail is on Saturday July 14, 2pm–8pm at Sunnybank Plaza and Sunny Park Shopping Centre. For more information on the event, see here.
