This One Thing: Snug’s Prawn Omurice

As my narky little screentime notifications will attest, I spend too much time on my phone. And this week at least a solid hour of my screentime has been spent drooling over this picture of Snug ’s prawn omurice.
Instantly I asked myself: “What is that? And how do I get it?”
Taken in by the sheer sexiness of the picture, I reached out to them to ask. Here are all the details.
What: Prawn omurice
How: You take a bed of buttery Massigura rice mixed with chopped carrot and zucchini, and top it with a soft, twisted, still-gooey omelette. Daintily sat atop the omelette is a butterflied Mooloolaba king prawn which is gently baked and brushed in sauce. The sauce is a reduction of shiitake mushrooms, soy and kombu tsuyu. The head juices are blowtorched and then the whole thing is garnished with chives and sesame.
Cost: $28
