Beer. Eggs. Lettuce. Underpants. What will they put in a vending machine next?
Champagne, actually. This weekend Brisbane is getting its first ever Moët vending machine, the device popping up for the Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival at Doomben Racecourse.
Think your typical vending-machine experience but with fancy non-vintage champagne rather than overpriced bottles of spring water. For those who prefer human company, there will also be an ice-cream cart converted for serving up Moët Ice Imperial, the French champagne maker’s drop designed specifically to be enjoyed on ice.
Both the vending machine and the ice-cream cart will be at Doomben racecourse for the Carnival’s three remaining race days, including the Doomben Cup this Saturday – in case you were on the fence about hitting the races this weekend.
