A year goes fast. That’s how long it’s been since brothers Cameron and Jordan Votan opened Greenglass, the handsome restaurant and wine bar on George Street in the Brisbane CBD they co-own with Michael Larsen.

Since then, Happy Boy has been more the focus, the Votan brothers moving their original venue to a much bigger space in Fortitude Valley and introducing a new brunch menu.

Now, though, things switch back to Greenglass. On Saturday night it’s hosting an anniversary dinner to celebrate 12 months in business. It will be a lavish affair matching French cuisine with small-batch Australian wine.

Head chef Damian Paliwoda is preparing a four-course menu featuring half-shell scallop a la bretonne, Thai coconut soup with Mediterranean tartare and spatchcock coq au vin. There’ll also be amuse-bouche, welcome drinks, French cheeses and a croquembouche.

Tickets are $85 – very reasonable but also very limited. Don’t miss out.

Book tickets to the Greenglass anniversary dinner either by email or by phoning 0403 966 671.
