With an old-school American diner vibe and menu, Slim’s Quality Burger has become a Sydney go-to. Queenslanders will soon get to see what all the fuss is about with two new locations opening in the sunshine state.

From the team behind Noosa-born Betty’s Burgers, Slim’s first opened in Sydney’s inner west in December 2021. The contemporary-classic burger joint’s ethos is to produce simple, quality diner fare with affordability at the heart.

The two new locations open this month: Kippa-Ring in mid-September, with Slacks Creek to follow shortly after. Both new restaurants will continue Slim’s traditions of using 100 per cent Australian Angus beef patties, hand-cutting fries and churning ice-cream on-site each day. The retro interiors will transport customers to a bygone era with cherry-red banquettes, vintage light fixtures and distinctive neon signage. The restaurant’s OG menu and Slim’s Savers menu (which boasts $5 cheeseburgers and ice-cream spiders) will also be available.

Queenslanders will also be treated to a new brekkie menu for an early-morning Slim’s hit. It’ll include a bacon, cheese and egg burger, a sausage burger, hash browns and a healthy chia pudding (with strawberries and granola). Coffee and freshly squeezed OJ complete the morning menu.

Slim’s have also upped the nostalgia factor, adding drive-throughs and drive-ins for the first time. Line up at the drive-through for a grab-and-go experience, or park out the front and order via the QR code. Choose the latter and staff will pamper you drive-in style (in the comfort of your own car where you can eat and go at your convenience).

Slim’s Kippa-Ring is opening in mid-September, Slim’s Slacks Creek will open in the weeks to follow.
