The Cheese Pleaser, Nota, and local beer expert and curator (and Broadsheet contributor) Matt Kirkegaard are teaming up with the Starlight Children’s Foundation (which supports kids with cancer) for a day of gourmet food, picnic platters and joyrides by the river.
On Sunday August 4, the event – billed as Carageous – will host a collection of sports cars and supercars at Newstead House, allowing punters to get up close and personal with some classic marques – think Ferrari, Bentley, Lamborghini, McLaren and Aston Martin.
Super VIP joyride places have already sold out, but VIP and general admission tickets are still available. General admission costs $20 and gets you access to the car show, with food and drinks available for purchase. VIP tickets are going for $300 and land you and a buddy a prime position overlooking the river with a cheese board by the Cheese Pleaser, canapés and gourmet food from Nota, a complimentary beer or glass of sparkling on arrival, and a bottle of red or white wine per couple.
Tickets are available here.
