The Caxton Seafood and Wine Festival may have died an unhappy death last year but that hasn’t stopped the precinct wanting to let its hair down.

Introducing the Caxton Hothead Chilli Fiesta, which will take over the Caxton Hotel on Sunday May 6. The event involves a bunch of food trucks (including Indimex and Brat Haus); market stalls flipping hot sauce, spices and jerky; and mariachi DJs playing on the rooftop.

The festival will also feature Byron Bay Brewery Chilli Lager; various cocktail and drink pop-ups; and a chilli-eating competition (places are limited for the comp so register quick smart if you want to get involved).

It should more or less be the perfect autumn Sunday.
