What’s better than a bunch of flowers from a loved one? A box of doughnuts, apparently. At least that’s the thinking behind Sweety’s Treat Boxes, a new doughnut delivery service that launched last month.
The brainchild of Eloise Kerma and James Greensill, Sweety’s has teamed up with The Doughnut Bar, Krispy Kreme and a vegan and gluten-free start-up Marmalade & Co to peddle a bunch of romance-themed gift boxes, delivered direct to your door.
Enlisting the help of Greensill’s brother Luke, the duo has created 14 different arrangements across which you can apply 65 different gift combinations. Bestsellers include the The Peacemaker Doughquet (12 Krispy Kreme doughnuts in a variety of flavours) and the The Doughnut Bar-themed Luxe Box (two Red Velvet doughnuts and two Top Deck doughnuts). Delivery is free within a 10-kilometre radius of the city and you can add booze if you’re so inclined.
If the launch announcement sounds suspiciously close to Valentine’s Day, you’re on to something. Sweety’s will be popping up in the Wintergarden on February 14, selling doughnut boxes designed specifically for the big day.
