The Queen’s Wharf precinct is beginning to shape up with another venue set to join The Star Brisbane. Today the Star announced that the Gambaro Group’s Black Hide Steak & Seafood will move from Treasury Brisbane to the new precinct joining the venue’s growing list of hospitality options.

The 240-seat restaurant is the largest of the three restaurants on the venue’s terrace. In a statement earlier today, Gambaro Group director John Gambaro shared that the venue will include the hits that diners have come to know and expect from Black Hide, including its Wagyu and Angus steak, as well as the “addition of a variety of delicious seafood dishes, featuring fresh Queensland catches”.

In the same statement, Gambaro said the venue will also include “a stylish cocktail lounge bar, where guests can indulge in small plates from our menu while enjoying panoramic views of the river”.

The venue joins the recently announced Sokyo Brisbane, which will be helmed by Alex Yu (former head chef of Melbourne’s Yugen), Luke Nguyen’s Fat Noodle, Italian restaurant Cucina Regina, bars Cicada Blu and Cherry, and Sky Deck restaurants Aloria and Babblers. The precinct will also include four luxury hotels.

The Star Brisbane will open in August.
